Bangor is a suburb of Allentown that sits in Northampton County. This small town of a population of 5,203, offers its residents a great sense of community. 

The town's founder, an emigrant from Bangor, Whales, whom which the town is named after and is considered it's sister city, was the prime mover in the establishment of the slate industry for Northampton County. Slate quarries can be found throughout the county and are still functioning today.
