Stockertown PA Real Estate

Stockertown, PA is a borough in Northampton County. This small town is apart of the Lehigh Valley metropolitan area. Stockertown was named for the Stockers, a family who settled on the land in the 18th century. It was known as Stockersville in the mid 1800's and by late 1900, the name changed to Stockertown. A group of villagers petitioned Northampton County to grant the community the new status of a borough, which was granted.

Sherman Metzgar Park, has many areas for sports like basketball, baseball, soccer, volleyball, and has lights for nighttime games. There is a playground there with picinic tables and benches. 

Newhart Park also provides a playground and sheltered pavillion with picinic tables and benches. They have charcoal grills and restrooms. You may rent out this area with permission from the Park once you make reservations. There is a volleyball and badminton area as well. This park is not lit at night, it closes at dusk. 

The Ball Park is used a lot by teams for baseball and soccer. It has restroom and onsite parking. It's open to the public when there is not teams using it.
