Wind Gap, PA is a borough in Northampton County. Located 21 miles from Allentown, it's still apart of the Lehigh Valley metropolitian area. It also sits at the base of the Pocono Mountains. With the original settlers of Wind Gap being sheepherders, it was found by the community in 1893.

It is told that the name of Wind Gap was a combined name of a Dutchman of the name Windt, who was one of the first settlers, with German Settlers stating a low break in the mountain, naming it "Windt's Gap." They later shortened to just plain "Wind Gap."
