Due to the retirement of two co-founders of Fegley's Allentown Brew Works, a notable property that has housed the company for almost 20 years is up for sale. The five-story, mixed-use structure located at 812 W. Hamilton St. in downtown Allentown was put up for sale this week with a $6.5 million asking price.
Together with his parents, Peg and Dick Fegley, late brother Dave Fegley, and brother Rich Fegley, Fegley established Fegley's Brew Works. The family sold the famous Fegley's Allentown Brew Works building and announced Peg and Dick's retirement in a news release. Throughout the changeover, the company will carry on with all of its activities, including hosting events and providing award-winning food and drinks.
The Allentown Brew Works site opened its doors in 2007, nine years after the family founded Fegley's Bethlehem Brew Works at Main and Broad streets in downtown Bethlehem in 1998. The building's sale will help with Peg and Dick's retirement. Throughout the sale process, Fegley's Allentown Brew Works will continue to run at full capacity, guaranteeing customers a flawless experience.
Furthermore, to preserve Dave's memory and uphold their family's dedication to quality, sustainability, and community, Rich and Jeff will continue to run the flagship Bethlehem Brew Works. A five-story, mixed-use structure that spans more than 51,000 square feet, the Allentown Brew Works building blends history with opportunity.
It has been renovated in 2007 and 2012 and includes:
income-generating office and tenant spaces with exposed brick and glass walls; a commercial kitchen and on-site brewing infrastructure; a lower level lounge, ground floor dining, and upper level event spaces
The property is in an excellent location, close to Archer Music Hall, PPL Center, and Da Vinci Science Center.
Century 21 Keim Commercial is managing the sale. There won't be any operational adjustments made while the Allentown building is being sold, so both Fegley's Brew Works sites are operating normally. While Fegley's Bethlehem Brew Works is open every day, Fegley's Allentown Brew Works serves food Friday through Sunday. Both locations provide a range of areas for staging events.
