To celebrate its debut in the Lehigh Valley eating scene, a brand-new fast-casual restaurant is offering free food on Sunday.

On Sunday, October 13, from 4 to 7 p.m., patrons of Haaz's, which serves freshly made chicken dishes, smash burgers, gyros, sides, dessert waffles, and more, will receive a complimentary halal chicken power bowl or burrito, according to owner Hasnain "Haaz" Ilyas.
In a refurbished location that once housed Burgerim, a fast-casual restaurant company that specialized in customizable "small burgers," which closed in 2022 after almost three years of operation, Haaz's, which can seat 58 people, had a soft launch two months ago. The restaurant has gotten many positive reviews over the last several months.
A number of our regular customers have already expressed interest in trying new menu items. They put a lot of effort into honing our recipes and seasonings to highlight genuinely distinctive, vivid flavors, so it is incredibly satisfying. Therefore, even if some of our dishes might appear familiar at first glance, we are serving them in a variety of inventive ways. Everything we serve is also made fresh to order, seasoned in-house, and prepared in-house.
Ilyas, who attended Easton Area High School, has experience working in restaurants.
Additionally, he is the second-generation operator of the IHOP in Allentown, located at 1511 Lehigh St., which has started serving dine-in and takeaway on weekends around-the-clock. A sign in the restaurant reads, "The journey of Haaz's began with a passion for culinary exploration and an ambition to bring together the best cuisines from throughout the country."The owner felt it was his own time to open his restaurant and took pride in getting good quality food that keeps the customers coming back for more!
Nashville hot chicken, according to Ilyas, is fried chicken with specific seasonings that are added very away after it is taken out of the fryer "to give it an extra kick." Customers at Haaz's can select from a variety of heat levels, including Haaz, Extra Haaaaz, mild, medium, and bare (no spice).
According to Ilyas, "Nashville hot chicken is not yet ubiquitous in the Lehigh Valley, but it started in Nashville, Tennessee, and is becoming increasingly popular across the country." It is really tasty and has a noticeable kick of fire. You can, however, select the amount of spice you want in your chicken at our restaurant, or if you would rather, you can order none at all. Gyros (chicken, lamb, chicken and lamb, or falafel), loaded fries (grilled chicken, lamb, beef, or Nashville hot chicken), tacos, burritos, and sides (fries, mac and cheese, salad, falafel, coleslaw, or Haazmati rice) are additional savory options.
Another notice that has been put throughout the restaurant reads, "At Haaz's, we believe that great food starts with wonderful ingredients." All the food is picked with the highest level of quality.
New wall paint, dining booths, kitchen appliances, and other upgrades have been added to the Bethlehem area. Cities that have impacted Haaz's are featured in large artwork on the wall.
Haaz's is open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to midnight and on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m.
There are options for online ordering and delivery via DoorDash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats.
