James Balliet, president of the shopping center's leasing team, The James Balliet Property Group, has stated that a new Jimmy John's location, which is renowned for its "freaky fresh" sandwiches, is anticipated to open in the early summer at the Schoenersville Centre, 3215 Schoenersville Road, Bethlehem.
The new restaurant will take over the location of the former A1 Steak House II. With over 2,600 outlets nationwide, Jimmy John's used to be based in the Lehigh Valley. The business had no presence in the Lehigh Valley for over three years after closing a location on Mill Creek Road in 2018 and another on William Penn Highway in Palmer Township in 2021.
Inspire Brands, a multi-brand restaurant corporation that also owns Arby's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dunkin', SONIC Drive-In, and Rusty Taco, purchased Jimmy John's in October 2019. There are still over two dozen Jimmy John's restaurants open in Pennsylvania, including regional outposts in Lancaster and Philadelphia. Jimmy John Liautaud founded Jimmy John's in 1983 in the college town of Charleston, Illinois.
All day long, Jimmy John's French bread and 9-grain wheat bread are prepared and served within four hours of being taken out of the oven. Every day, fresh slices of provolone cheese and premium meats such as Genoa salami, capocollo, roast beef, turkey, and ham are made in-store. Every day, employees in every store also cut lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and celery by hand.
The company's website states, "We just roll with fresh food made from scratch."
Other foods served there are desserts like fudge chocolate brownies and chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, and red velvet cookies are among the other menu highlights, as are sides like pesto bowtie pasta salad, chips, dill pickles, and homestyle potato salad.
The Schoenersville Centre, where the Bethlehem Jimmy John's will be located, is also the location of Moe's Southwest Grill, Saladworks, and Starbucks, among other eateries.
