The team behind a popular spot for pizza, pasta and other Italian specialties in Bethlehem will debut a new tasty concept this week in Lehigh County!
Sonny Shah, owner of Broad Street Pizzeria & Restaurant at 516 W. Broad St. in Bethlehem, is planning to open Main Street Pizzeria & Pub at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 12, at 191 W. Main St. in Macungie. A grand opening event is planned for May 31. Broad Street Pizzeria & Restaurant was established in 2012, and Shah purchased the business in 2019. Main Street Pizzeria & Restaurant, located in The Shoppes at Macungie, will offer a menu that's nearly the same as the Bethlehem restaurant's menu.
Expected to start serving alcoholic drinks sometime next month, the new Macungie restaurant will also feature a full bar. Their liquor license has been delayed until June, so they will be featuring our delicious mocktail menu and offering half-priced appetizers during our happy hour window—Monday through Thursday, 3pm to 6pm. Main Street Pizzeria & Pub will offer locally and regionally sourced products, including wines from Domaine Pterion Vineyard & Winery in Upper Milford Township and spirits from Holla Spirits in York.
The Macungie pub will offer freshly prepared pizzas in an array of sizes and varieties, including 12-inch, 16-inch, Sicilian thick crust (16-inch), deep dish (12-inch) and gluten-free or cauliflower (12-inch). Pizza also will be available by the slice. A variety of gourmet pizzas will include selections such as Buffalo chicken, German, Chicken Bacon Ranch, Veggie, Big Parma (breaded chicken cutlet, tomato sauce, banana peppers and mozzarella), and supreme (pepperoni, sausage, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, black olives, ham and bacon). Any gourmet pizza could be made into a stromboli or calzone.
Customers will also be able to choose from appetizers such as fried calamari, fried mozzarella, garlic knots, and pierogies; hot and cold sandwiches such as BLTs, turkey clubs, Italian subs, meatball parmigiana, shrimp parmigiana, and sausage Italiano; baked dishes such as ziti, lasagna, stuffed shells, and lobster ravioli; and pasta dishes such as fettuccine alfredo, eggplant rollatini, and spaghetti with meatballs. Additional menu highlights will feature either bone-in or boneless wings available with your choice of sauces, along with a diverse selection of soups, salads, burgers, and cheesesteaks. Other specialty pasta dishes will include a seafood combo (red or white sauce, shrimp, mussels, baby clams, clams, and calamari) with your choice of spaghetti, penne, linguine, angel hair, or fettuccine. Various desserts, including homemade cannoli, New York-style cheesecake, limoncello, and tiramisu, will also be available.
Main Street Pizzeria & Pub will operate in The Shoppes at Macungie space that was previously home to Vince's Pizza and Pub, which closed in the fall.
Hours will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays.
Dine-in, delivery, pick-up and catering services will be available.
