In Northampton County, a new spot serving burgers and beers created right there just opened.

On Friday, July 25, at 4 p.m., the Nazareth Brew Co. hosted its grand opening at 35 Belvidere St. in Nazareth. The craft brewery and restaurant offers a diverse selection of beers, upscale pub grub, live music, and more. The main bar, dining area with a small stage, kitchen, and brewhouse will all be located on the ground floor of the two-story full-service brewpub. The second floor, featuring more dining space and a smaller, secondary bar, will primarily host overflow dining and private parties.
Offering primarily traditional styles of beer, Nazareth Brew Co. uses a five-barrel brewing facility. A smooth, malt-driven British-style ale with a subtle hop taste and a crisp, dry finish is one of the beers that visitors may anticipate. Another is "Extra Special Bitter."
Included in the other offerings are the "Pentatonic Pale Ale" and the "Plain American Stout," the latter of which is a traditional stout made using pale American malt and roasted barley. Their selection will include lagers and IPAs, among others, but will avoid anything too gimmicky and will be focusing on classic beer styles.
The brew pub is planning to increase its draft lineup from four to ten varieties as the brewery increases its beer production. The grand opening will feature four of the brewery's own beers. Canned beers will be available in the future as well.
The bar will also feature a selection of wines and drinks created in Pennsylvania using spirits from the state. When it comes to the menu, patrons can anticipate a modern take on traditional bar fare.
Meals: Salads, small plates, handhelds, and entrees of various kinds will be available as well! Burgers, both signature and custom-made, will take center stage, featuring premium beef ground on-site by the kitchen staff.
The burgers will come in various sizes and flavors. You'll be able to choose between single or double smash patties, and we'll also have half-pound steak burgers. There will be pre-made choices as well as the chance to create your own. Handhelds like fried chicken and grilled chicken sandwiches will also be available, as will meals including strip steak, surf and turf (steak and shrimp), salmon, fried chicken, and ribs. And there will be vegetarian options, so there's something for everyone!
With room for about 80 people at the bar and tables for more at the restaurant, Nazareth Brewing Co. pays homage to Nazareth's past with a rose in its emblem.
History Lesson: The area that contains Nazareth today was awarded to the Moravian immigrants by the Penn family in 1754 with "The Barony of the Rose." The sole stipulation for this abundant land grant was the annual delivery of one rose to William Penn on June 24th. As a result of this one small deal, Nazareth became the dynamic agricultural and commercial center it is today.
Membership: The brew pub is launching a mug club called "The Barony" with exclusive benefits for the first one hundred members. The benefits package includes a 20-ounce ceramic mug, a founding member T-shirt, a 10% discount, a free birthday beer, special admission to events, a yearly Nazareth Brewing Co. anniversary dinner, and much more!!!
Nazareth Brew Co. is open from 4 to 10 p.m. Tuesdays to Thursdays, 11 a.m to 11 p.m Friday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, and closed Mondays.
