Elias Grilled Chicken Over Rice is a fast-casual restaurant that specializes in made-to-order cheesesteaks, sandwiches, rice platters, and other dishes recently opened at 2140 Stekfo Blvd in Bethlehem. Previously, a J's Steaks & Subs restaurant occupied the area.
"We are excited to provide the neighborhood with fresh food," stated Sayed Muhammad, who runs the eatery alongside his friend, Atajan Ahmady. Ahmady has worked as a chef at several restaurants in New York City over his more than thirty years in the restaurant business. Taking its name from Muhammad's son, Elias serves a variety of made-to-order salads, gyros, sandwiches, and platters with proteins including fish, falafel, chicken, and lamb.
The partners redecorated the interior of the restaurant and painted the building's façade. With space for about 40 patrons, Elias Grilled Chicken Over Rice is open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to midnight and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.
