Local entrepreneurs Manny Rodriguez and Rick Pongracz, intend to open Wondaffle, a waffle and ice cream concept, on March 21 at 307 E. Third St. in south Bethlehem. The opening day hours will be from 3 p.m. to midnight!
Wondaffle will have space for about 40 patrons. The owners are excited for this new store in the amazing South Bethlehem area.
Wondaffle will serve a variety of locally manufactured waffles, such as trademark Liege waffles, bubble waffles, waffle cones, and waffle bowls, in addition to delectable combinations of Batch's handcrafted, ultra-premium ice cream. They believe that both our current and potential consumers will truly appreciate the combination of our premium ice cream product and our handcrafted, premium waffles.
16 Batch Microcreamery ice cream flavors, including well-known ones like cold brew, mint chip, cookie monster, lavender honey, and "black raz Oreo," will be available in the new store. Ten to twelve standard flavors will be available, in addition to a few rotating seasonal alternatives. Also offering vegan options in ice cream, waffles, etc.
Amazing treats such as waffle and ice cream sandwiches, ice cream nachos with waffle chips, hand-held bubble waffle cones with ice cream, and specialty Belgian Liege waffles—made with pearl sugar and topped with Nutella, strawberries, and bananas—are just a few of the sweet treats that patrons can savor.
All waffles will be freshly prepared on-site, and there will also be gluten-free waffles available. Along with a selection of milkshakes, customers will also be able to eat waffles or ice cream on their own.
There will be a variety of toppings and mix-ins, such as caramel, hot fudge, marshmallows, peanut butter, strawberry sauce, candies like M&Ms and gummy bears, and fresh fruit like bananas and blueberries. Customers would have the option of placing their orders at a self-service kiosk or at a counter manned by store employees. There will also be outside seating.
The owners are convinced waffles and ice cream are a great option for people looking for a sweet treat in the winter months because they combine the flavors of warm and cold.
The partners acquired the idea for Wondaffle after witnessing the waffles and ice cream concept gaining in popularity in other parts of the country, notably Southern states and California.
