Today I want to talk to you about my good friends, Jane and Lou. I was referred to Jane and Lou about a year ago. They owned this beautiful custom built colonial on Farmersville Road in Bethlehem Township. They actually built it from scratch back in the 90s. The home had a lot of custom upgrades. They spared no expense anytime he did an update or an upgrade.
The original plan was to sell this home and buy another one a home in a more rural location with a large a lot a little bit more square foot and a few more features.
They owned up very nice lot over in Nazareth that they were going to build on, but had a few hiccups with the builder and decided to put that plan on pause and just buy a home.
Life has a way of making things happen and even though we sold their home on Farmersville Road right away, and even found a really nice home in Bangor that seemed to fit their needs, things changed and we needed to cancel those transactions. Now it’s not always easy to cancel transactions lol there were some very specific extenuating circumstances, and we were able to put things on pause.
Fast forward a year later Jane and Lou reached out to me. They contacted a builder and worked out a deal to build their dream home on their lot in Nazareth and now it was time to get their home sold!
I actually listed their home on Farmersville Road for sale at the very end of July. I thought we were a little overpriced to be honest, but the home showed so well, it was so well cared for so nicely updated. Once you saw it in person you had to fall in love.
And that’s exactly what happened as soon as I listed the property we had multiple showings one buyer in particular had to have that home. The buyer paid over list price in order to secure the property. The only kicker was we had to wait until the mid October to close on the property. This was because that’s when their new home they were building would be completed.

The real estate market being what it is couple weeks before closing we had a slight delay due to some red tape paperwork with permits and approvals and things on the new construction home and we had to push closing in about two weeks.
Finally, we closed and settled on the property in the beginning of November. Jane and Lou had their dream home, I sold their previous home and the Buyers also had their dream home.
